DVD Rental Software Plan Types
The DVD rental plans can be of various types based on what renting trends are popular amongst your renting audience.
Unlimited
As the name suggests there is no limit to the number of titles that can be rented in this plan. You will be sent a DVD as and when you are ready to watch more. The restrictions usually are the number of DVDs that you can have at one time . Example you have an unlimited 3 at a time plan, which means that you can rent as many DVDs as you want, but at a time you can have only, the software will send you the next 3 DVDs that you request only when you are ready to return the current 3 that you have.
Limited or capped
These plans have a limit on the number of discs customers may have out at any one time, and also a maximum total of discs that can be rented during each billing period (usually monthly). These plans are usually cheaper than the unlimited plans.
Package
Instead of each disc being sent and returned independently, a "package" plan sends a certain number of disks together at fixed intervals (often weekly), and one returns all the discs in a single package as well. A common scenario allows for two packages to be outstanding, and subsequent packages ship as a previous one isnt returned.
Season Rental / Series Rental
This Renting package allows users to rent entire TV season episodes in a bunch. The series are sent together as a pack to the customer. Once the customer sees all the DVDs of that season, he gives these back and the next season is sent to him.
Weekend Plans or fixed day plans
Such plans control the days on which the DVD will be sent or returned to the user. For example a weekend plan means that you receive the movies on a Saturday and have to return them on Monday
