DVD Rental Solution software has an extremely powerful DVD allocation algorithm at its heart that allows the most optimized distribution of DVDs based on their availability. The algorithm takes into consideration a variety of factors to come up with the correct allocation.

The allocation factors include the plan priority of th users, number of DVDs being rented, their availability, the time of rental , the priority of the DVD in the rental queue and more. A very complex logic drives the applcation to make complex calculations. 

TO bring flexibility to the system, manual overrides to the algorithm are allowed.
